Create memories in the Maldives

A honeymooners’ paradise and a family’s fairytale. Discover the world’s best beach, which boasts not only the whitest sand and cleanest sea, but also the most breath-taking and magnificent fauna beyond the trees.

Do’s

  1. In all conservative countries, it’s a good idea to err on the side of caution. On inhabited islands, ladies should cover their shoulders and legs, while men should wear long pants rather than shorts. Outside of resort islands, bikinis and topless sunbathing are absolutely prohibited, but once you’re at your resort, feel free to show off your vacation swimsuit!
  2. Before entering a home or a place of worship, remove your shoes. Mosques should be visited barefoot. If you’re unsure whether or not to remove your shoes, glance around and observe what others are doing, or ask someone.
  3. Everyone observes strict fasting from sunrise to sunset throughout the month of Ramadan in this city with a 100% Muslim population. Many restaurants may close during the day as a result of this. Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in public if you’re on a populated island.
  4. Because the island is located on the equator, the sun’s rays fall at a 90-degree angle on it. There’s a higher risk of sunburn there, so bring plenty of sunscreen and sun protection like caps, sleeves, and closely woven clothing.

Dont’s

  1. The Maldives’ capital city has a curfew that begins at about 10:00 p.m. If you’re waiting for a transfer to your island and have some free time, make sure you’re back inside before the deadline.
  2. The Maldives, a completely Muslim country, maintains a list of prohibited things that will not be permitted past customs. Alcohol, all types of drugs, pork, religious materials for distribution, and dogs are among them.
  3. In the Maldives, the native ecosystem is extremely fragile, so do your part to help life thrive! Take cautious not to disturb any of the ecosystems around you while snorkeling.
  4. Remember that the Maldives is a remote series of islands with limited connectivity compared to a major city. Although some resorts offer complimentary Wi-Fi, don’t be shocked if it’s slow and/or spotty. Keep in mind that you’re in paradise, so turn off that device and go explore the island instead!
