When to go ?
The ideal time to visit North East India is from October to April when the weather is relatively pleasant and the landscapes are lush and vibrant. The monsoon season (June to September) should be avoided due to heavy rainfall and potential travel disruptions.
How to get there ?
By Air: Main airports in the North East are in Guwahati, Imphal, Bagdogra, Dibrugarh and Silchar. These are well connected from New Delhi and Calcutta. By Train: The North East is well connected by train to most of the major Indian cities, the best connections are to Assam.
